How to apply

Full time courses

Once you have selected your course you will need to complete an application form. You can download one here or call Learner Services on 01594 838432, or email enquiries@rfdc.ac.uk Please complete the form carefully and provide all the information we ask for to avoid any delays, then return it to Admissions, Royal Forest of Dean College, FREEPOST GL272, Five Acres, Coleford, Glos, GL16 7JT. No stamp is necessary.

You will then recieve an interview date with a member of staff on the course you have chosen. If you cannot attend your interview date, please let us know as soon as possible. The aims of the interview are to:

Give you further understanding of your chosen course and the College
To ensure the suitability of the course and advise on options
To give you information on the support available i.e. EMA
To tell you our expectations of you studying on your chosen course

You will then be invited back for enrolment at the end of August. Please try not to book holidays during this period.

Part time courses

You can enrol on a part time course:

At the enrolment office at Five Acres, open every weekday 9.00am - 5.00pm (4.30pm Fridays)
By telephone on 01594 838462. There is an answerphone at busy time, please leave your name, telephone number and the course you are interested in and the enrolment staff will call you back
By post using the postal enrolment form, which can be found in our part time course guide or you can download one here
At the first class, subject to availability (leisure classes only)
PLEASE NOTE THAT FOR FREE COURSES YOU CAN ONLY ENROL BY POST OR IN PERSON

The cost of your course will depend on the type of course and your age and circumstances. Certain groups of students are also able to get help with examination/registration fees, childcare costs, equipment, books and transport. If you are not sure whether you qualify for financial help, or wish for further information on course details please contact Learner Services on 01594 838432.
